Dusty Girl Review *

marisa Thorne Dusty Girl

I'm here with a make-up reveiw for you all today! I tend to stay away from writing make-up reviews as I don't think I'm very good at them (I know I've said this 1000 times, but I worry my beauty posts are not up to scratch) However, I have actually discovered a new brand I like- which is tricky these days, when so women will stick to big well- known brands they are used to. While browsing the website, I was quite taken with the branding, which has a simple girly design and positive quotes threaded through the website pages.

First of all this is a cruelty free, vegan brand from Australia; which I know is a priority for most, myself included, and I like the fact I haven't got to Google if it's CF or not. The parent company of Dusty Girl is MooGoo, (websites will be linked below) which specialises in skincare and is completely transparent in it's ingredients. and has specific products for sensitive or problematic skin. So good vibes all round really :)

Dusty Girl is a full make up range offering powder foundations, blushers eye shadows and more! I contacted the lovely people at Dusty Girl and they let me choose my foundation shade. I've been trying the mineral powder foundation and I'm quite taken with it. It comes with a cute lil quiz (So Cosmogirl!) to work out what shade you are and they are quite versatile catering for warm and cool toned skin. It also came with a massive kabuki brush which I've been using for full coverage, but I have used smaller powder brushes as well and it works just as well. This is perfect for summer days where you don't want to wear a heavy liquid foundation. I've been wearing this with a bit of concealer, bronzer and mascara and have found it being so easy and comfortable to wear all day. This pot will probably last me till the end of the year as it was  a lot bigger than I expected and I have been trying it out over my foundation for an evening look also.

It's not often I'm excited about a new make-up brand but I'm really looking forward to trying out more of Dusty girl's products like their lip shines. Has anyone else tried any other products? what were your thoughts?
