Dusty Girl Review *

marisa Thorne Dusty Girl

I'm here with a make-up reveiw for you all today! I tend to stay away from writing make-up reviews as I don't think I'm very good at them (I know I've said this 1000 times, but I worry my beauty posts are not up to scratch) However, I have actually discovered a new brand I like- which is tricky these days, when so women will stick to big well- known brands they are used to. While browsing the website, I was quite taken with the branding, which has a simple girly design and positive quotes threaded through the website pages.

I'm a real sucker for hats but (with out sounding too narcissistic) they just suit me. I'd seen this wide rimmed, straw boater hat doing the rounds on Instagram and thought it looked quite striking. I'd seen a few on the high street but eventually found this one in Topshop and what sold it for me was the wide brim- A proper statement summers day hat. After showing my mum and her asking if I had joined a Barbershop quartet (fair) Or if I was off to work on a gondola (also fair) she warmed to it as well. Fun Fact: It was raining on the coast when these pics were taken, you know that really fine rain that blows downloads and sideways, so much for summer outfits.

I cant remember if I've mentioned these jeans before, but these are my jeans on 2016. Topshop Dree jeans are the one! They are a cropped kick-flare style which is flattering on anybody short and a refreshing change from skinny jeans. I teamed it with this super old fitted and flared top from Forever 21, I've had it 3 years now, but I can only wear it during the summer. These shoes are also another recent statement purchase of mine, I bought them online at Zara as mules are trend that's gonna be around for a bit longer so I thought I'd get on the trend wagon. I didn't realise they would be an embroidered silver detail going over them but it's not put me off. I might invest in some more mules as I like the heel height on them.

This summer blue has been my colour. It's a colour I find I'm most naturally drawn to for some reason and this summer it was blue stripes. If you have a scroll back through the some recent posts or pics of mine, I will sporting something blue and stripey; kinda like today. I know in the pictures the top looks almost white but it's just how they've been shot and edited, but it is a pale blue colour.
