31st August

Blogging dry spell alert! I always struggle for inspiration when it comes to  blogging, I just find it hard for my ideas to translate onto an Internet page. Probably just need more practice :)
I was however excited to share these beauts wit you though, I saw these trousers in a fashion magazine ages ago an every now and again I would search for them online but no such luck. Until I walked past H&M an saw them on their window display, I have never run into a shop so quickly in all my life. Needless to say I was going to buy them regardless of what they actually looked like on me, but I'm glad I tried them on first as they did come up quite tight on me.
I'm loving H&M 's new collection at the moment, I'm never really drawn to H&M I feel like I've outgrown them these days and I never find them to be 'on trend' (which isn't necessarily a bad thing tbh, ppl should wear what they want) but that probably is one of the reasons ppl shop, to find current pieces.
Soo anyway these trousers are my dream trousers, black thigh high pleather and stretchy.  Really simple, really edgy. I'm finding it easy to build outfits with them too, today I went with a black silky top, I thought the mix of black silk, denim and pleather looked kinda cool. I teamed it with a plaid shirt just to see if it can be a casual outfit too and I feel it can be :)

literally, just shoes

So I've been playing with my new favourite toy/app again. This is just a basic wishlist of all the summer shoes I'm lusting after, coz I never really buy shoes that often. The black, white and silver theme happened by accident, no real reason for it.literally, just shoes

Buffy is my spirit animal

So my best friend has never seen Buffy. Like NEVER! 'It never really appealed to me' she said. (Like, what?!) So after re-evaluating our 10 year friendship I decided I would MAKE her like it, it also made me realise how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Buffy and how important it was that I watch the entire tv show all in one go asap. And what better way to proclaim your love for something than wear it on a tshirt. When I started looking for tshirts, there wasn't that much variety or choice and this was the only one I really liked. I fell out of love with slogan and logo tshirts when I was 17- they just don't sit well on my body unless they are slightly oversized, they are also typically for a younger generation which I don't really belong to any more (sob sob). Hopefully if I wear it with black skinny jeans or a mini skirt and Chelsea boots I' ll look more cool in this top rather than dated and nerdy and wish me luck on my endeavour to make my BFF an honorary member of the scooby gang :)

I love skorts!

So I bought a pair of plain black run of the mill skorts aaages ago and then realised I hardly wear them being a more summer wardrobe staple, so there was only one thing to do. Go hunting for tops that would go with said skorts. I've been running out of fashion inspo recently... until it hit me like a train all in one day :/ My first piece is a printed top from Topshop (where else?) Now I'm not afraid to wear to wear a print, but most of the prints I do wear are usually quite girly or pretty and this style isn't really girly. I'm not really feeling the 'art graphic' prints this S/S, so I thought this is a nice compromise, p.s. it has long side splits which you cant see in the photos, but posing and showing them off proved too awkward haha :)

OOTD

So I'm still experimenting wit my Lil camera and I've also received a belated Xmas prezzie from dad which was a Samsung tablet note thingy, I'm using the blogger app as.. we speak just to see what it's like
Anyway, I've wanted to do a OOTD post for a while and had a day off, so... it was time! This was just an outfit I wore to run some errends and see some friends. It was a cold and sunny day (typical UK) so decided on this printed playsuit, I remember it was EVERYWHERE at one point, but it's such a pretty print so who cares :) Normally I consider playsiuts to be purely for spring/summer only but you know when you feel the 'need' to wear somthing? I had to wear it with tights, but thought if I team it with some black Chelsea boots an a blazer that could winter it up a bit (if that's even a fashion term?)
I  also decided that this winter was the season for hats an nothing is more on trend at the moment than the fedora! Mine is plain black wit a subtle chain band round it. WARNING: Some friends have compared me to to Freddie Kruger or Tom Baker, but they're just jealous because they don't have a fedora, and then wanted to try it on themselves so it's safe to say it might gain you some attention :)  if you wanted to be a Lil more adventurous they come in all sorts of colours an sizes, so if you have a plain outfit or just need somthing extra to pull it together wear a fedora!

Mini Haul

I have managed to rein in my need to 'spend spend spend' this January (go me!) However, it's impossible for me to not buy something each month, especially when the sales are on, so here is a mini haul for y'all :)

First off, Primark. I have just moved into a new house and it is lacking a lot of personal touches so I'm going all out on home wear, my house is also very cold so I picked up this blanket/throw from Primark. It's perfect for throwing over the sofa and getting all cosy with. An added bonus is that it is surprisingly warm for Primark. Oh and I love love love elephants too!
